ISM—CV was established in 1920 and for over 100 years has provided an organization for procurement and supply management professionals across North & South Carolina and Virginia. With a focus on our members and profession, ISM—CV is committed to offering world-class educational training and development programs, networking conferences, and opportunities for members to get involved and contribute to the members of our great profession.

Our profession’s value continues to be recognized as ever more critical by Wall Street, national governments and NGOs worldwide.

“ISM-Carolinas Virginia has done an outstanding job of revitalizing the Chapter” a member said recently. For perspective:

Increased our student membership from 3 to 17 from colleges and universities throughout North Carolina and Virginia
Engaged over 15 sponsors / corporate partners through our two conferences this year spanning recruiting, procurement technology, logistics, facilities management, security systems, promotional marketing, office equipment, and more.
Student case competition with three (3) teams represented by NC State University, UNC-Wilmington and Virginia Commonwealth University; Fall conference included delegation of supply chain students from NC A&T University. One student from NC State attended ISM World 2023.
Offered 2 events for job / professional branding at our conferences – professional headshots and resume reviews at deeply discounted rates as benefits of membership
Partnered with Arkestro with 2 in person networking events in Greensboro and Raleigh with 10-12 attendees each
Began work to launch an executive advisory board in 2024 with thought leaders and procurement executives
In person speaking engagement to NC State’s Supply Chain Club to talk about the benefits of ISM membership and new APSM certification with additional event scheduled for February 2024 at NC A&T University.

As we reflect on our achievements in 2023 and our plans for 2024, I can confidently say that ISM-CV has ignited the interest and passion of our chapter board of directors and members across the region. Join our committees for conferences, marketing, membership and university partnerships.
