Awards & Scholarships

Annually, ISM—CV presents awards to members in good standing recognizing contributions to our profession, most outstanding Satellite President, and a member demonstrating great ethical values.

Award Criteria

The Thomas Award is presented to provide grateful acknowledgment of outstanding contributions and meritorious service, to encourage individual enterprise, and to stimulate more active thinking for the advancement of our profession.

The Thomas Award was created to recognize the first formally recognized President of ISM—CV, Mr. W.G. Thomas. The Thomas Award is ISM—CV longest standing award, originally presented the first time in 1940, the Thomas Award medallion has been granted annually to a deserving individual.  

The Andy Sutton Award is granted to an Outstanding Satellite Chapter President.  The Outstanding Satellite Chapter President has demonstrated great leadership of the satellite, lead with great ethical esteem, and worked with ISM—CV for the growth and advancement of the ISM-CV Chapter and Satellite. The award is named in honor of Mr. Andy Sutton, former Executive Director of NAPM-CV and recipient of the Thomas Award.

The Anthony Napoli Ethics Award is named for Anthony Napoli, C.P.M., who served many roles with the Upstate SC Satellite Chapter and ISM—CV.  Anthony Napoli demonstrated the highest ethical values not just to his organization, but to the members of the Upstate SC Satellite and the ISM—CV region. This award recognizes an individual that has demonstrated ethical responsibilities in leadership, communications, Satellite and Chapter development, and service to the organization.

ISM—CV annually presents the Student Case Competition. This event as part of a regular conference event, brings together college students from supply chain programs across our region to compete for scholarship funds. The Student Case Competition has grown annually and provides leaders in our member companies an opportunity firsthand to see great talent presenting their case live at the event. The case competition is a highlight each year of the great supply chain programs offered in your region and the great talent being developed through these programs.
